Born and raised in Redondo Beach, Duncan has been around the game of volleyball for over 27 years. His love and passion for the game is contagious with the players, coaches, and parents he interacts with on a daily basis.

Coach Tyler Nazarian grew up playing volleyball in the South Bay and has been in and around volleyball for the last 19 years. Tyler played for Coach Tommy Chaffins at Redondo then later continued coaching with Duncan Avery for a number of years. Tyler is a coach who tries to lead by example and always strives to be a positive influence on his players.

Coach Kris has been around the game of volleyball for over 20 years. She has been a staple of the Redondo Union Volleyball program, and has been with Evolution for over 5 years. A professional coach, she has experience with USA Volleyball, international coaching philosophies, and winning at the highest level. We are lucky to have her in the program.
Lacey Minzlaff
17 Elite Head Coach
The player's coach, Coach Lacey knows how to get the most out of her players. As the current head coach of the Palos Verdes Boy's and Girl's program, she knows how to succeed at the top high school level. Taking her high school team to back-to-back State Championships, Lacey knows how to win. A recent silver medal at the 2024 AAU's with Evolution VBC and recently named 2023 Daily Breeze Coach of the Year, Lacey is becoming one of the top coaches in the South Bay.

Coach Andrew knows the game of volleyball. His specialized practices encourage players to reach their full potential by maximizing repetitions, competition, and fun. His dedication to the game has developed him into a great coach who gets the most out of every player. His energy, passion, and knowledge are contagious and his players improve at a fast pace under his leadership.
Spencer Isley

Spencer started out with Evolution Volleyball Club as a great player in high school. After having played at El Camino College, Spencer has been coaching for Evolution for the last six years. He has the ability to relate to all athletes and is a true player's coach. Spencer makes each practice fun and competitive and at the same time, has developed some of our top athletes in the club!
Bruno Dumais

Growing up playing volleyball internationally, Bruno brings a knowledge to the game rarely taught here in the United States. His positive personality and desire to have each athlete reach their potential makes him a perfect fit to coach this age group. He has taken both beginner and advanced athletes and developed them to levels that have amazed us all.
Peter Gonnerman

Moving to the South Bay over 20 years ago to pursue the sport he loves, Peter has turned into a driving force in the game of volleyball. Coaching many of the top juniors in the game today, Peter knows how to develop talent. His passion and knowledge of the game drive his competitive practices.
Bryce Bowsher

One of our philosophies at Evolution VBC is to develop athletes and get them to perform at their best. This is why we are so proud to have Bryce join our staff. Bryce played for Evolution VBC and he has developed into one of our up-and-coming staff members to keep an eye on. His future is bright and will be climbing up the coaching ladder very quickly.
